The Bible says that God created us in His image to experience the fullness of life. We were not created to be robots that were forced to love and obey Him. He gave us a free will and the ability to make choices.
THE BAD NEWS
God created us out of love but we chose our own sinful desires that brought death and
separated
us from God.
Romans 6:23 states:
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Proverbs 14:12 states:
“There is a way that seems right to man, but in the end it leads to death.”
Throughout history, people have tried to bridge our separation from God to no avail.

GOOD NEWS
John 3:16 states:
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”
1 Timothy 2:5 states:
“For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus”
God has provided His son Jesus Christ as the only solution to our separation from Him. Jesus died on the cross and rose from the grave paying the penalty for our sin and eliminating the separation between God and people. But we must choose to believe in Jesus Christ and receive Him as our Lord and Savior.
Romans 10:9 states:
“… if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Your response
Have you trusted Christ as your Lord and Savior? If you haven’t, would you like to do this today?
To receive Christ you must:
- Admit that you are a sinner and repent from your sins.
- Believe in your heart that Jesus Christ died on the cross and rose from the grave.
- Through prayer, invite Jesus to come in as your Lord and Savior and control your life through the Holy Spirit.
You can pray something like this:
Dear Lord Jesus,
I know I am a sinner in need of your forgiveness. I believe you died on the cross for my sins and I want to turn away from my sins. I invite you to come into my heart and I commit my life to you. I want to trust you as my Lord and Savior.
In Jesus name,
Amen.
If you just prayed this prayer, we are so excited for you! We want to celebrate this with you and provide some next steps for you in your new life in Jesus.
