I am honored and humbled at the opportunity of being pastor of Georgetown Baptist Church. My family moved to Pottsboro in March 2008. We are so blessed to be part of a great community and an amazing family of faith. I grew up in Kentucky. In 1984 I came to Texas to attend seminary and never made it back to my homeland. My favorite things to do is spend time with my family, mow, landscape and watch Kentucky Wildcat basketball. I became a believer at the age of seven. Growing into the image of Christ is my goal. Some days I do better than others. But I am captivated by the thought that God loves me and gave Himself to die for me. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." (Philippians 4:13)
I am humbled and honored to be able to minister to students here at Georgetown. I have a passion for students to grow and develop a lifelong relationship with Jesus as their Lord and Savior. God called me into the ministry at 16 and specifically to youth ministry not long after that. After high school, God allowed me to pursue my calling to the ministry at Dallas Baptist University where I received a Bachelors in Biblical Studies. Me and my wife Erica have been married since January 2013 and our son Easton was born in September 2017. In my spare time I am an avid sports fan and outdoorsman and I especially enjoy fishing and baseball.
It is an honor and a privilege to serve at Georgetown Baptist Church as the Preschool / Children's Minister. I graduated from the University of North Texas, married and began a career. In 2008, I felt God's calling to surrender to full time ministry. I am blessed with an amazing family, husband and four daughters. My passion is to help children and their families build homes of real faith and character that lasts.
I have been the Pastor's administrative assistant since 2012. I normally work Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays from 6:00 am to around noon. Please feel free to contact me at anytime. I am alway happy to assist anyone. I have been a member of Georgetown Baptist since 1996. I love the youth and am involved in that ministry. I have taught junior high Sunday School and am currently teaching high school girls Sunday School. I love going to camp and cooking for them as it gives me a chance to get to know each of them personally. I "retired" from TI in 2009 and took up quilting, which is what I do when I am not at church. I also love to read and always have a book with me. Matthew 6:33-34
I have worked at Georgetown since Oct. 1997. God is amazing and never ceases to surprise me. I am so blessed to have a wonderful family, a wonderful job with the most awesome staff, be part of an amazing church family and to be one of Gods Children. I graduated from Gunter High School & Grayson County College. I have been married to my best friend for almost 27 years. We have 5 children. 2 biological; our daughter is an RN in L&D and our son is a welder. We also have 3 additions to our family; an 18 yr old "Korean" son who came to stay with us temporarly in 2007 but has been with us ever since, now he is a student at Texas Tech. In 2009 we became the legal guardians to our niece and nephew who are now 7 & 5 years old. They certainly keep us on our toes. Together we make one big happy family, certainly never a dull moment. My favorite things to do are spend time with my family & reading; but don't get to do much reading with little ones around.
